How bad did you use to be? How long is your list of past sins? How often do you remember them and feel bad about the way you used to be? Does someone bring up your sinful past and hold it against you?
As far as God is concerned, the past is the past and he's forgotten it.
The way you used to be is no longer part of God's memory and he never holds it against you. Others may. The Devil does. God does not, neither do others who are truly saved and want only the best for you.
Pastor Travis Hyatt uses the word of God to pull the covers off of the accuser to let the saved know that your past is your past.
